# Docker Verified Publisher plans

[Docker Verified Publisher (DVP)](/docker-hub/repos/manage/trusted-content/dvp-program/)
is a program for commercial publishers who distribute content on Docker
Hub. DVP Starter and DVP Growth are paid organization plans that add
publisher analytics and reporting to verified publisher status.

- DVP Starter includes a verified publisher badge, prioritized search
  ranking, [Docker Scout](/scout/) vulnerability
scanning, and weekly and monthly summary reports.
- DVP Growth includes everything in DVP Starter, plus trends,
domain-level reports, and benchmark reports, with 25 consuming
  domains included.

For a plan comparison, see the
[DVP landing page](https://hub.docker.com/publisher-program).

> [!TIP]
> DVP plans require an approved application before you can subscribe.
> See [Apply for DVP Starter or Growth](#apply-for-dvp-starter-or-growth).

## Usage

Organizations can hold a DVP plan and DVP entitlements apply per organization
namespace. If you operate multiple namespaces, each one needs its own DVP
application. If you only have a Docker Personal or Docker Pro account, you can
create an organization when you apply.

Consuming domains are unique company domains that pull your images.
On DVP Growth, you can add more consuming domains in increments of
25 from the billing portal. For steps, see
[Add consuming domains](#add-consuming-domains).

For details on the reports available to verified publishers, see
[Insights and analytics](/docker-hub/repos/manage/trusted-content/insights-analytics/).

## Apply for DVP Starter or Growth

To add DVP Starter or DVP Growth, you must apply for a DVP plan. After Docker
approves your application, complete checkout to subscribe.

1. Go to the [DVP landing page](https://hub.docker.com/publisher-program).
The page contains information about DVP Starter and DVP Growth.
1. Select **Apply for DVP**. Sign in if prompted.
1. Select an existing organization namespace, or create a new one if
   needed.
1. Fill in the content you want to publish and select DVP Starter or
   DVP Growth.
1. Submit your application for review with **Submit application**.
1. After approval, Docker emails you a checkout link. Open the link,
then select DVP Starter or DVP Growth.
1. Verify your billing details, continue to payment, and complete
   checkout.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Docker emails a checkout link after it approves your application.
> You're charged when you complete payment.

## Add consuming domains

On a DVP Growth plan, you can add consuming domains from the billing
portal:

1. Sign in to [Docker Home](https://app.docker.com/) and go to
   **Billing**.
1. From **Active plans**, select **Manage** next to **Docker Verified
   Publisher**.
1. Select **Add consuming domains** under **Consuming Domains**.
1. Select the number of consuming domains you want to add to your
   subscription.
1. Verify your billing details, continue to payment, and complete
   checkout.

## Billing cycle

DVP Starter and DVP Growth are billed annually. You can upgrade from
DVP Starter to DVP Growth without a new application. Upgrades take
effect immediately.

On DVP Growth, consuming domain add-ons are prorated from the purchase
date through the rest of your billing period, and they expire at the
end of your annual subscription. You can reduce your add-on count at
any time. Removals take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> No mid-cycle refunds are issued when you reduce consuming domain
> add-ons or end a DVP plan.

## Disable auto-renewal

To end a DVP plan, disable automatic renewal. Your plan stays active
until the end of the billing period and then expires. To disable
auto-renewal:

1. Sign in to [Docker Home](https://app.docker.com/) and go to
   **Billing**.
1. From **Active plans**, select **Manage** next to **Docker Verified
   Publisher**.
1. Select **Disable auto-renewal**.
1. Optional. To remove consuming domains, select **Remove consuming
domains**, then choose the number to remove.
