Docker Verified Publisher plans

Docker Verified Publisher (DVP) is a program for commercial publishers who distribute content on Docker Hub. DVP Starter and DVP Growth are paid plans for organization accounts. They add publisher analytics and reporting on top of your verified publisher status.

  • DVP Starter includes verified publisher status, prioritized search ranking, Docker Scout vulnerability scanning, and a summary analytics report.
  • DVP Growth extends Starter with a trends report, tracked company reports, and 25 included tracked companies.
Tip

You subscribe to a DVP plan by first submitting an application for review. See Apply for DVP Starter or Growth.

Usage

Any organization can hold a DVP plan with or without Docker Team or Docker Business. If you only have a Docker Personal or Docker Pro account, you can create an organization when you apply.

Tracked companies represent the unique companies that pull your images over a period. You can add more tracked companies to a DVP Growth plan in increments of 25 from the billing portal. For steps, see Add tracked companies.

For details on the reports available to verified publishers, see Insights and analytics.

Your account is charged only upon approval, which you receive as an email notification.

Add tracked companies

On a DVP Growth plan, you can add tracked companies from the billing portal:

  1. Sign in to Docker Home and go to Billing.
  2. From Active plans, select Manage next to Docker Verified Publisher.
  3. Select Add tracked companies under Tracked companies.
  4. Select the number of tracked companies you want to add to your subscription.

Billing behaviors

DVP Starter and DVP Growth are billed annually. If you have DVP Starter, you can upgrade to DVP Growth without submitting a new application. Upgrades take effect immediately.

For DVP Growth plans, you can add additional tracked companies. Tracked company add-ons are prorated from the date of purchase for the remainder of your billing period and expire at the end of your annual subscription. You can reduce your add-on count at any time. Removing tracked companies takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Important

No mid-cycle refunds are issued when you reduce tracked company add-ons or end a DVP plan.

Disable auto-renewal

To end a DVP plan, disable automatic renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period and then expires. To disable auto-renewal:

  1. Sign in to Docker Home and go to Billing.
  2. From Active plans, select Manage next to Docker Verified Publisher.
  3. Select Disable auto-renewal.
  4. Optional. To remove tracked companies, select Remove tracked companies, then choose the number to remove.
